Cults are a perversion of community. Community in its best form encourages good for the sake of the all that benefits the individual as well. The voice rests not with one person. Cults are fundamentally unstable because the voice is singular. People are always leaving and waking up so new followers must be found. At some point, the promise the cult makes breaks. Saylor can’t really walk back his decisions so he has to prop them up in order to retain the faithful.
I see this a little with Musk and Tesla, the promises of the robot-driven future that never arrives but there are more voices of reason there.

For what it's worth, I see more than a little of this with Musk and Tesla...and a LOT of this with Musk and SpaceX and "xAI."
And with Tesla, it seems to me that Musk has been saying FSD is a year away...for quite a few years.
