Thank you for sharing and although I'm a stranger, please know that I am thinking of you and I am very sorry for you and your family. Your heartbreaking story... and the one your colleague, Ben shared about losing his brother are more invaluable and important than any financial advice you both could ever give.
I was in fellowship with Billy during the time that he was in Palm Beach County. Know that I am twice his age, but that did not stop Billy from corralling me with him into the service of alcoholics and addicts in rehabs or half way house. When he was on fire, there was nothing that would stop him from serving those in need. He also had innate leadership qualities that were apparent when he lead a meeting.
I feel as though I have lost a son.
Know that he often shared with me
how important you, your children,
and parents were to him.
Despite all of his sincere effort to stay sober, this baffling and devastating disease took him.
He will remain on my heart and mind
I encourage all to remember all of the good he did for others. This is his legacy to all.
May he rest in the peace that eluded him in this life.
Dan, thank you so much for sharing your experiences with Bill. Hearing from those he encountered along the way means more to me than you can ever know.
I am truly heartbroken for you and your family. Your words in sharing the joy and wonder he brought to all your lives is such a beautiful tribute and I know these memories will be with you always, in your hearts, carrying you through this most difficult time. I hope you find peace and solace in remembering and in keeping your dear brother close to you, always.
This is such a beautiful tribute. I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing a piece of him with us. Sending prayers and a giant hug your way. ❤️
I am heartbroken for you, Blaire. Thank you for sharing more about Bill. Reading about him makes me want to call and connect with my family and be a little more like Bill. ♥️
Blair, you and Bill were my mom's babies too. That made us family & we love you guys. I was most definitely coming to support you'll. It broke my heart when I saw that he had passed. I'm here anytime for you'll when you need me. Love you
Blair, first my heart goes out to you and your family. You may not remember me. Your brother and I were good friends all through high school. Learning about Bill has really bothered me from the moment I heard. There was no one like Bill, truly an amazing person and full of life. He always knew how to get everyone together to have a good time. I have had so many memories run through my mind over the past few days. From riding in his big red truck, to spending time at the lake, even down to just the times Bill and I would just sit and talk about things. Bill will truly be missed and I wish I would have gotten to see him one more time.
Oh Dexter! You were one of Bill's favorite friends from those days. Thank you for sharing these memories. Who could forget his big red truck! Sending you lots of love.

Best regards and be well.
Blair, so sorry for your great loss. Addiction is such a horrible thing to overcome.
I lost a younger brother too, who was very much loved, years ago. You will never forget him.
So sorry to hear, Blair. What wonderful memories you had together. And now you’ve brought him alive for all of us.
